Forgiven before forgiving
Scripture puts being forgiven before forgiving, every time. Starting at the second one is how forgiveness becomes a debt somebody cannot pay.

9Verse 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

What have you not let yourself be forgiven for?

Before I try to forgive anybody, let me accept that I am forgiven.
